Harland Ristau: two poems
IMPROPER IMPROMPTU
earth's floods
heaven's tears,
weeping sadness
that we are lost ones
snouting our greed
and pain over the land.
and when omega appears
desolation will ask:
why could they not
concern themselves
with each other?
the wind failed to answer.
SENRYU
after the last inconvenience
of dying, death may soothe
to an atrocious apathy.
