DEAD SCROLLS

Had the Hertz
Corporation read the Dead
Sea Scrolls they would
have dumped OJ Simpson
faster than you can say,
"Michael Jackson."

Ah, the secrets they reveal
about twentieth century Hollywood,
Bill Clinton's sexual escapades,
and economic trends
in post-industrial America.
It's a wonder Wall Street
analysts don't consult them.

Or maybe, like me, they
read what they have to say
in authoritative tabloids
while standing in line
at the grocery store
waiting to pay
for food they probably don't need.
