Normal: two poems

WATCHING SAVAGES

i watched a tribe in botswana
drinking the blood of lambs
& was appalled

then again,

i have given 1/3 of my lifes blood
working for bosses who dont know
my name --

i wonder if they watch me on the
travel channel in botswana?

GORILLAS IN THE MIST

heard at the oscars:

"the academy audience
was held spellbound by
sigourney weavers genius
gown priced at 50 thousand
dollars yet plain enough
to be worn around the
house."
