Lullwater

I took a chance to
explore a kettle in you
that I have not been in,
for a while.

You are "Nature by Design"
carved by raged ice,
curved by gathered moistures,
emptied . . . by many ways.

I am amazed how
still a body can be.

But, there is a gander
rippling your surface
by taking flight.
Beating his wings
to take final dips
in your restful pool
of earthly tears.

Oh, how the meltwater,
cries of nature,
overflows my wellness.

Onlookers with treetops
speculate from a hilltop,
to view me,
view all of you

wanting for me to become
a leaf.

In that,
they too can
have a chance
to bathe.
