Consider This Issue Your Christmas Present

In the past, I've apologized for delays in getting 13thWR published and online -- and that was when the delays amounted to a few weeks. In the case of this particular issue, the delays amounted to months. Initially, I was to have this issue online in June. But, in addition to the usual last minute bullshit, 2006 also brought to my door a number of personal problems that just kept getting in the way. June became August, and then I thought Halloween. Halloween came and went. Writers withdrew manuscripts, so Thankgiving was no longer an option. I found myself screaming, "Damn it to Hell -- it's Christmas or nothing!" I stayed up late. I tapped the keyboard. I edited. I prayed and cried. There were moments when I didn't think I would make it. People wrote emails asking, "When, when?" Some of the emails were not very polite. Then, finally, at 7:36pm, December 23, I finished writing the last book review. Eureka! I made it. So, what you have before you, dear reader is, what I hope, is a very fine Christmas present indeed.

Peace and good tidings for you and yours this holiday season. Enjoy,

John C. Erianne, editor
